Literacy is an essential skill for children growing up in the developing world.
We are working to supply early readers and textbooks in Rwanda. During the weeks of Advent Westview had the opportunity to purchase books. A portion of the proceeds went towards early reader books that we will get into the homes of kids when we visit. The majority of the funds will be designated to supplying an AEBR school with textbooks for classrooms.
Westview’s 2019 Christmas fundraising initiative raised more than $3200 toward books for Rwandan families and textbooks for Karera School at Nyabagendwa. The long-term goal is to provide a complete set of textbooks for the students of the school.
Books for Rwanda will continue to be a part of Westview's partnership in Rwanda through the duration of our agreement.
